BN-2 v3.2 for FS2004 - repaint kit
===================================

Here, you get some helpings for making your own repaint for my aircraft (if you made a repaint of one of my older BN-2, you get a helping for updating your old texture at the end!):

1. Paint:
----------------------------

Here an overview of the blank textures in this archive:

	* aw_2BL.bmp fresh painted aircraft (very white) 2 bladed
	* aw_2BL_hard.bmp	a bit used since the last painting 2 bladed
	* aw_2BL_very hard.bmp	very used and dirty texture 2 bladed
	* aw_3BL.bmp		fresh 3 bladed
	* aw_4BL.bmp		fresh 4 bladed

Then, you should let your paint program multiply the colors, then you will see the details of the blank texture through your painting.

If you want to add anti-ice units, you can use the mask_AntiIce.bmp as reference.

Also, you can overlay your work with template.bmp to see the who-is-who of the parts.

1a. Make your own passengers:
----------------------------

You can also add your own passengers in repainting the passenger.bmp. You got a special bmp in this file where you can see who-is-who.

2. Make the set
----------------------------

When you have finished your work, you can use DXT3 by Martin Wright to load an alpha channel from an original texture to use it with your texture and save all as a DXT3-Bitmap; if you want to have proper results, you may deactivate the option "Include mips" in the Menu "Prefs".

Then you should gave this texture with the rest of the needed textures you will find in each texture.? directory into a new texture.? folder. (As "?" you should use the ident of the aircraft e.g. texture.gazeh).

This new folder comes into a new BN-2A_3 or BN-2B_3 or else folder together with your new *.ini which includes the aircraft.cfg-section without the headline [fltsim.?]. As example, you find the example.ini in this archive. Please mind, that this file has to have typical name which doesn't exist before! You should use here the Ident, too.

As I said, this file and your new texture folder should be in the BN-2?_3 folder. You zip this folder now into a new archive, but you HAVE TO ADD MY "License.txt" (also under a new name, like License_original.txt) TO YOUR ARCHIVE. You also should add my readme.txt or an own installation manual.

BUT PLEASE MIND: YOU HAVE TO GET A WRITTEN PERMISSION BY ME (MARCEL KUHNT) BEFORE YOU MAY UPLOAD A REPAINT!!

3. Old repaints:
----------------------------

If you still have old repaints of my version (3.0 or 3.1) you can "rescue" them into the new version if you made them in painting in "multiplication" or "subtraction" mode on an old original blank texture.

Then, you just have to add the shipped "restore_old_bn2_t.bmp" as a new layer; either the original as "divide" or the inverted one as "addition", then you should have as result the painting without the old blank details; else you can modify it a bit to get this painting. And finally, you can add one of the new blank textures using the "multipling" mode.

4. License:
----------------------------

See license.txt!

------------------------

Have a lot of fun!
